Volunteer!

We need a ton of help to make this year's races work! More than ever we need people to help with course marshaling, setup, cleanup, registration, and other tasks. Support cycling and collegiate racing in this region at one of the biggest and most challenging events around---volunteer for the 2008 Phoenixville Fury & Philly Phlyer!

This year's event will feature an awesome, new road race in addition to our classic TTT and circuit race. Saturday, March 8th, we'll be racing out in Phoenixville, PA on a truly epic course. Then on Sunday, March 9th, it's back in Philly for the team time trial and circuit race along West River Drive and Memorial Hall. We need all the help we can get to make those races happen, and that's where you come in!

Commitment

We're asking volunteers to sign up in block shifts, and to volunteer for Saturday if at all possible---we need an army of course marshals to make the road race as smooth as possible! The blocks are:

We ask all volunteers to report in half an hour early so we can ferry you to your position. To make your life easier and to show our appreciation, we will provide lunch to all volunteers for all shifts, both days. We also have limited space available for transporting people out to Phoenixville on Saturday (it's less than 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia).

If those blocks don't work for you, please don't hesitate to just let us know when you are available, we can use any time you can spare.

Racers, please also include your school and category. Again, we stress that we need as many volunteers as possible on Saturday, March 8th. If you want to be a part of making awesome cycling events happen in the Delaware Valley, please e-mail your availability to phlyer2008@gmail.com as soon as possible so we may begin planning!

Volunteer Meeting

There will be an optional but highly recommended meeting on Wednesday, March 5th, to hand out marshal packets and discuss responsibilities and logistics. The meeting will be on Drexel's campus:
